Meet the team at the Espace Sensoriel Dans le Noir ?, located at 40 rue Quincampoix, near the Georges Pompidou cultural center, who welcome you warmly to live unique sensory and human experiences in total darkness. Sensory workshops around the themes of perfume, wine, and blind tasting are offered in small groups of 4 to 9 people to facilitate exchanges among participants.

Without visual judgment, the perception of flavors, smells, and textures becomes more intense. An experience that also allows us to reevaluate our relationship to the world and to others.

Wine in the dark

By offering wine workshops in total darkness, the Espace Sensoriel invites participants to step away from traditional tasting paths. Indeed, by removing sight, other senses awaken and allow us to perceive wine differently. The experience then becomes multi-sensory! Touch, smell, taste, but also hearing are engaged to understand a wine and the role of the terroir that shaped it. Trusting your senses is key to understanding wine beyond labels and traveling to the heart of the terroir.

Darkness allows concentration on the essential qualities of a product by naturally revealing a taste, aroma, texture, or scent. It frees speech to reveal deeply emotional content.

"Wine Without a Label" Workshop

During the experience, participants will taste 5 original wines from very different terroirs. A sensory journey will be guided by a visually impaired sensory expert throughout the workshop, in total darkness. Cradled by the host’s voice, guests will travel through the terroirs and stimulate their imagination through multiple sensory clues to help understand the wines tasted in a free and playful way. A surprising workshop offering wonderful discoveries…

At the end of the experience, participants will discover the wines tasted in our lit space.
